I recently sat through a sermon that spoke to me. The sermon was about prayer, and the focus was on praising God in your prayers. Praise is an expression of thankfulness. Isn’t it nice to hear someone say thank you? That is exactly what our worship does; it gives thanks to God!
During this sermon, our pastor had us sit and listen to a song, while the song played we prayed and praised God. This particular portion of the service made me realize that we don’t take the time to worship God the way we should. We need to take the time to sit and let God know just how much He means to us! God’s love is so immense that we can’t truly understand it! So shouldn’t we give Him the thanks that He deserves?
“22The Lord’s love never ends.
His mercies never stop.
23They are new every morning.
Lord, your loyalty is great.
24I say to myself, “The Lord is what I have left.
So I have hope.”” Lamentations 3:22-24 ICB
